Amber Silvey is the proud owner and driving force behind Silvey & Associates. With nearly 15 years of unwavering commitment to excellence, I have carved a path that marries passion with proficiency in the world of finance.
From a young age, I discovered a natural knack for deciphering patterns and solving puzzles, especially when it came to numbers. This inherent gift eventually intertwined with a fascination for the accounting world. Over the course of my nearly 20 year career, I’ve cultivated an extensive network of controllers, accountants, and CPAs, who have imparted their wisdom and shaped my understanding of the industry. On-the-job training has been the bedrock of my growth and the foundation of my expertise. Armed with this experience I struck out on my own, officially opening my bookkeeping practice in 2010.
I continued to strive for growth by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Governors University. This step allowed me to extend the services offered by my practice to include tax planning and preparation. I have since returned to school in pursuit of a master’s degree in accounting with the ultimate goal of gaining my Florida CPA license.
As I continue on my journey to obtain my CPA license, I find inspiration in the ever-evolving landscape of finance. Adaptability is key, and I am committed to staying ahead of the curve by being well-versed in various accounting platforms, alongside being a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for all versions of the software.
